Meet the Artist
Sky Evans
Drawing/Painting
Sky Evans has been painting for 50 years and holds a degree in Art from OSU. She has worked as an art teacher, had a painting business, and done commercial work, graphic design, and commissions. In the past few years, she has concentrated on art shows and selling in galleries, stores, and gift shops. A new style has revitalized her love of art and inspires her to share it with the public. Influenced by Van Gogh and Seurat, her landscapes and animals flow with swirls from an energetic palette, using mosaic-like brushstrokes in a fresh, contemporary take on pointillism.
Materials and tools used include: vivid colors to express her feelings about her subjects, especially native wildlife of the Pacific Northwest. Her paintings feature distinct strokes that encompass each hue, giving them a pixelated quality.
