Meet the Artist
Shailer Tuell
Woodworking
From an early age growing up in the Pacific Northwest, artist Shailer Tuell has found inspiration and solace standing with trees, flowing with water and exploring the vast space of desert landscape. With an interest in fields such as Biogeometry and the connection between creativity and well being, he most enjoys discovering how energy, imagination and natural intelligence play out in the many forms of Life.
Materials and tools used include: a variety of woods often native to the Pacific Northwest, some of which is reclaimed or salvaged. Many pieces become functional sculptures that also incorporate air plants, lavender, stones and shells while other wall hangings feature wood burned designs inspired by natural patterns, shapes and the field of Biogeometry.
