Rebecca Weythman is a self-taught metal artist born and raised in Washington’s Wenatchee Valley. A lifelong creative, she has explored a wide range of materials and artistic styles, a passion she’s carried since childhood. In 2010, while attending college, she discovered her love for metal art—a medium that perfectly matched her instinct to build, transform, and reimagine.

As a single mother who raised three children, Rebecca’s journey has been shaped by resilience, creativity and determination. Now a proud grandmother of two, she continues to draw inspiration from both family and the natural world. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for transformation, often incorporating discarded materials and giving them new life through imaginative, whimsical designs.

Rebecca’s art celebrates the beauty of perseverance—both in nature and in people—finding meaning in what others might overlook. She has exhibited her work in several local galleries, sharing her unique vision and passion with her community.

Materials and Technique: Rebecca creates whimsical metal art using new and reclaimed metals, combined with stone, glass, wood, and antiques. Her process includes welding, grinding, drill press work, acetylene torch, cold shaping with ball-ping hammer and a stump, and plasma cutting. She also uses epoxy and other mixable adhesives to securely attach non-metal elements, blending strength with creativity.
