The Everyday Naturalist: How to Identify Animals, Plants and Fungi Wherever You Go
Rebecca Lexa’s comprehensive field guide, The Everyday Naturalist: How to Identify Animals, Plants and Fungi Wherever You Go describes what traits to look for when encountering a new species, how and when to use field guides and other resources, and more. Rather than focusing on one region or continent, she can help you classify nature anywhere, providing details on distinguishing features and including more than forty full-color photos and drawings. She has also written a variety of Natural History chapbooks. Rebecca has a B.A. in English and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a certificate in Ecopsychology (how humans connect to the natural world). She’s also a certified Oregon Master Naturalist. Rebecca aims to help people of all educational backgrounds appreciate nature and communicate the wonders of our world. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
