Jessica M. Bernert uses oil paint and mostly large canvases for her work. Her process involves photography, then using photo references for her bird artwork. She used to work in acrylics but once dabbled with oil paint, she fell in love with its vibrancy!
Jessica is an oil based painter, with an education and career in graphic design and fine art. Her world has always been about art and seeing the world through a brush, and painting helps her learn deeper about this beautiful world. Jessica is fascinated by light and color, figurative and birds. Mother Nature is the true designer, and Jessica uses her brush as one of the communicators of that gift we all get to experience.
Jessica lives in the Pacific Northwest and the island of Kauai, Hawaii. She is inspired by the different color palettes and birds from each environment.
