Lynn Rosskamp
PRINTMAKING
Lynn Rosskamp is a printmaker specializing in copper plate etchings of animals and nature. She grew up above her parents’ veterinary clinic, living with a wide variety of creatures, wild and domestic. She migrated to the west coast from Appalachia and obtained a BA in studio art/art history from Reed College. Relocating to Seattle, she learned etching at Pratt Fine Arts Center where she currently teaches chine collé and intaglio workshops. She has been a frequent exhibitor at Lan Su Chinese Garden in Portland, OR and a Bloedel Garden Community Creative on Bainbridge Island, WA. Her work has been shown at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art and the Bellevue Art Museum and in galleries around the Pacific Northwest.
Materials and tools used include: copper plate etching with aquatint and chine collé, all hand inked and printed in traditional fashion with an etching press.
