Love Like River and Sky: A Grandma Loves You Book
The Wild Arts Festival welcomes Seattle author and illustrator, Julie Kim. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, her beautiful illustrations have been featured in several children’s books. Julie has two new books, Love Like River and Sky: A Grandma Loves You Book and Korean Folktales for Children: Stories of Magic, Mischief & Wisdom in English and Korean. The first title is a colorful board book for very young children that celebrates the boundless love between a grandmother and her grandchildren. The second title, Korean Folktales for Children, includes ten of the author’s favorite Korean folktales. Her debut book as an author, Where’s Halmoni, received four-star reviews and a Cybils Award (Children’s and Young Adult Bloggers’ Literary Award). Her follow-up book, Where’s Joon? also received starred reviews from Kirkus. Both titles are graphic novel picture books with incredibly gorgeous illustrations and stories to engage kids. She lives in the Northwest with her family, and loves the great outdoors - but mostly stays indoors, rain or shine.
