Jaimee Gentile

Jaimee Gentile is an intuitive and visual artist based in Eugene, OR. She paints miniature watercolors inspired by life in the natural world and the whimsy of spirit. After penciling in a basic outline, it is entirely brushwork using 18/0 spotter brushes and very little water to capture the crisp details. Her work aims to bring attention to the fragility of life on our planet, asking viewers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the interconnectedness of all living things.
The charm of the miniature is that you can only fully observe the content of each piece by focused choice. Tiny art ignites a personal and intimate connection, inviting people to look closely at “the other,” developing new understandings, strengthening compassion and empathy, expanding the space where the self and the other overlap.
Jaimee holds a Bachelor of Science in the Visual Arts from SUNY New Paltz in New York.
