Heather John’s jewelry is hand fabricated using certified recycled sterling silver and traditional metalsmithing techniques of piercing, forging, soldering, lost wax casting and hand finishing. Natural gemstones are individually selected for their unique character, mostly from small suppliers or stone cutters.
Heather designs modern and graphic sterling silver jewelry celebrating the wonders of nature for creative and curious souls who value quality and connection. Distilled silhouettes of forms found in her gold certified backyard habitat are reimagined in recycled sterling silver – a wildflower blossom, a cluster of leaves, the taper of a wing. Gemstones are hand selected for their distinct personalities, stories and how they play with light, and are given full attention in architectural settings. Heather works from her backyard studio in Cedar Mill in NW Portland.
