Eileen F. Sorg

Eileen Sorg is a professional artist based in the Pacific Northwest and is well known for her magical, narrative drawings. Eileen’s drawings are created using colored pencil over ink on Arches HP watercolor paper. Occasionally, she also creates paintings using oil on copper plates in a similar style to her drawings. She uses her imagination and still life items to compose and refer to while rendering these visual narratives.
Eileen regularly shows her work at juried festivals across the country and has originals in museums and private collections worldwide. She is also recognized as a Signature Member of the Colored Pencil Society of America and is the author of several books on drawing in colored pencils produced by Walter Foster Publishing. In addition to her personal studio work, she accepts commission work throughout the year.
