Dana Echols

Photography

Dana Echols has been fascinated by nature since boyhood, with a particular passion for birds. While he studied zoology and ornithology in college, his true artistic calling emerged through the lens of a camera. His photographic journey was profoundly shaped by studying with masters of the craft, including Ansel Adams and William Neill in Carmel, California. These visionaries provided him with tools, skills, and insights that have guided his career as he explores the intimacy of nature through photography, focusing on design, lines, texture, and color.

Materials and tools used include: camera-captured images printed on textured Unryu or fine art paper, with artist-printed techniques that showcase the soulfulness of nature.
