Cheryl Brown

2d Mixed Media

Rock/Paper/Scissors

Cheryl Brown layers handmade and manufactured papers, fabric, book pages, sheet music and ephemera, as well as paint and ink on vintage maps. Her primary subject is corvids, but she has been studying and reproducing other regional birds in my more recent work. Her mixed media collage challenges the observer to take a second look at something ordinary and see it in a new perspective.

She has been primarily a festival artist for 6 years and enjoys the interactions with customers in person at shows. Her art has been featured at 4 Ravens Gallery in Kalispell, Montana, Interiors of Edmonds, Shorelake Arts Shop and CROW. She works full-time for Seattle Parks and Recreation and looks forward to spending more time on her art when she retires in 2023.
