Cheryl Brown is a mixed media artist whose work is widely exhibited in galleries and festivals throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her current and recent exhibitions include Northwest by Northwest in Cannon Beach, Red Sky Gallery in Lake Forest Park, Catalyst Gallery in Bothell, Tsuga Fine Art in Bothell, Shorelake Arts in Lake Forest Park, and Crow in Edmonds. She has participated in numerous prestigious festivals, including the Bellevue Art Museum show, Wild Arts Festival in Portland, Best of the Northwest Spring and Fall Shows in Seattle, MAC in Spokane, Edmonds Art Festival, Art on the Green in Coeur d'Alene, Coupeville Arts Festival, Lake Oswego Arts Festival, and Wedgewood Art Festival in Seattle.
Materials and tools used include: handmade (cast, painted, and printed) and manufactured papers layered with ephemera on vintage maps to create collages depicting a variety of birds. She finishes her work with colored pencil to bring in fine detail and enhance the intricate compositions.
