Day Hiking: Oregon Coast

The Wild Arts Festival welcomes Bonnie Henderson, hiker and backpacker extraordinaire and dedicated trail advocate. Her latest work, Day Hiking: Oregon Coast is an updated guidebook that leads you to tide pools, lighthouses, primeval forests, windswept sand dunes and more, and is considered the best hiking book for the Oregon coast. Conservation has been a major interest of hers as her career in journalism grew to include writing and editing for newspapers and magazines, developing interpretive panels for parks and wildlife refuges, and managing communications for nonprofits, including North Coast Land Conservancy. She is also the author of The Next Tsunami: Living on a Restless Coast; Strand: An Odyssey of Pacific Ocean Debris and others. Bonnie lives in Eugene, Oregon, and enjoys hiking close to home and abroad.
