Ashley Heitzman grew up in Connecticut and studied at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, where she discovered metalsmithing and earned her BFA. In 2011, she moved to Portland, Oregon, where the contrast between the city's energy and nature's quiet force shapes her work. She exhibits at art festivals across the Pacific Northwest, creating bold, expressive jewelry that reflects memory, identity, and presence.
Materials and tools used include: silver, brass, and gold, hand-fabricated using traditional metalsmithing techniques. Inspired by shifting seasons, natural textures, and quiet landscapes, her work blends raw materials with a contemporary edge, creating honest, tactile pieces meant to be worn and lived in.
