Meet the Artist
Amy Buettner
Jewelry
Amy Buettner and Tucker Glasow began their collaborative journey in metalsmithing in 2000, naturally melding their talents in jewelry creation. Amy graduated in 1994 from Oregon College of Art and Craft and Pacific Northwest College of Art with a fine arts degree in Metalsmithing and Sculpture, while Tucker studied Video Broadcasting and Photography at Lane Community College. Over twenty years, they have developed an ever-expanding knowledge of stones and a distinctive style that expresses their reverence for the natural world. Based in Portland, Oregon, they create personal talismans that honor the enchanting details found in nature.
Materials and tools used include: high karat golds and sterling silver crafted using traditional fabricating techniques, featuring the finest and most unusual stones (some cut and polished in-house), with patina or oxidation applied to enhance textures and depth in each one-of-a-kind design.
